We’ve bought 300 gas masks and filters and distributed 165 of them to different military units:

• National Police - 5 pcs

• Defense Intelligence of Ukraine - 16 pcs

• Ukrainian Spec. Ops. Forces - 50 pcs

• Unit А 3449 - 20 pcs

Gas masks are important means of protection for a lot of reasons. Some of them are listed below.

1. Russians have already used the prohibited phosphorus bombs against our people [1]. Burning white phosphorus produces a hot, dense, white smoke consisting mostly of phosphorus pentoxide in aerosol form. Field concentrations are usually harmless, but at high concentrations the smoke can cause temporary irritation to the eyes, mucous membranes of the nose, and respiratory tract. The smoke is more dangerous in enclosed spaces, where it can cause asphyxiation and permanent respiratory damage [2].

2. According to the US Intelligence, Russia could use chemical attacks against Ukraine [3].

3. Ukraine as an agrarian country uses ammonia as a fertilizer. If the ammonia warehouses are attacked by accident or deliberately, it will turn into a chemical disaster [4].
